Our bars are inspired by the
great specialty espresso drinks – timeless
recipes developed by the Italian baristas and meant
to be lingered over by those who appreciate the
simple pleasure that a great coffee can bring. We
produce every bar with the utmost attention to detail
and quality, an effort that can be tasted in each
morsel of our gourmet coffee bars.
Coffee
bean selection:
Its true that all the world’s
greatest gourmet coffees begin with the greatest
coffee beans, and our gourmet coffee bars are no
exception. We select only the finest quality, high
altitude arabica beans originating from 3 different
coffee-growing regions of the world to blend in
perfect harmony and create our Acapella espresso
blend. The green beans (unroasted) are first roasted
in small test batches and then cupped (the traditional
sampling procedure for coffee that you drink). If
the beans pass this first test and can produce a
truly exceptional cup of coffee, we then proceed
to make 5-10 coffee bars to ensure that the flavor
of the beans translates properly into the solid
bar. These sample bars are taste tested by our experts,
whose job is to ensure that we remain true to our
mission of giving our customers only the highest
quality gourmet coffee experience possible. At this
stage many promising beans have been rejected, but
the finest are selected as the starting point for
making our gourmet coffee bars.
Making
our coffee bars:
Coffee beans that pass our rigorous
quality standards are then blended and roasted to
perfection in small artisan batches to bring out
the best each bean has to offer. We call this our
Acapella espresso blend. To capture the rich, authentic
coffee flavor, we then quickly blend the freshly
roasted coffee with the highest quality all natural
ingredients....creamy whole milk, sugar, and the
purest cocoa butter.
Next we mill the whole mixture
until it is fine enough to release all that wonderful
coffee flavor and deliver a silky smooth liquid
concoction. This warm aromatic liquid is then formed
into bars and allowed to cool, before it is immediately
wrapped in our signature copper gold foil to protect
the wonderful flavor.
To understand the quality of
our products is to understand truly fine espresso
and how our patent pending formulas and processes
convert the beloved drink to a solid form. Although
used by roasters to denote certain types of bean
blends roasted in an Italian (dark) style, the term
espresso actually refers more to a coffee drink
prepared by a certain method invented and made famous
by the Italians. In this method the espresso machine
rapidly forces hot water at high pressure through
the ground coffee bean – in contrast to conventional
drip methods of coffee preparation where near scalding
water is slowly passed through the ground coffee
without pressure. The espresso technique results
in a gentler but more thorough extraction of the
coffee flavor from the bean, especially the particularly
flavorful coffee oils. Indeed it is these gently
extracted coffee oils that are largely responsible
for the sought after crema, which looks like a fine
sea spray on top of the cup and is the visual sign
of the finest cup of espresso. Since our bars contain
the entire bean, finely milled to gently release
all the precious coffee oil, we are able to capture
a truly authentic espresso flavor in each and every
bar.

to remain true to the heritage of fine espresso
drinks by gaining our inspiration from the way a
barista would make various specialty espresso coffees
at an espresso bar….
Espresso
Serenade:
Our boldest bar is made with generous amounts of
espresso accented by a touch of sugar and milk to
create an intense long lasting flavor experience.
An excellent choice for those who cherish espresso
or prefer their coffee black
Toffee
Espresso Concerto:
One of our most popular varieties, this bar perfectly
blends the boldness of Espresso Serenade with generous
amounts of buttery crunchy English Toffee. Our toffee
is made the traditional way, cooked in open kettles
in small artisan batches using sugar, fresh dairy
butter, and almonds. Perfect for those who like
the contrast of bold espresso with a sweet buttery
crunch.
Cappuccino
Connoisseur:
True to the espresso bar classic, an elegant duet
of our flavorful espresso with velvety milk. Favored
by those who enjoy a fine coffee but prefer the
sweeter milder experience that addition of whole
milk and sugar lend to the strength of espresso.
Caramel
Macchiato Classico:
Our velvety cappuccino surrounding a soft flowing
fresh cream caramel. The definition of sweet indulgence
for the caramel lover, this bar is true to the taste
of this coffee house favorite.
